8.22.2009 UPDATE:

I hope this newsletter finds you all doing well. I have recently become quite busy, as the school year is upon us. Most of you know that I am a teacher, and as such, am currently embroiled in many projects including, but not limited to:  data analysis, pre-assessments, coffee brewing, and the fact that that kid over there does not seem to have a pencil.

You might think to yourself, "Good lard. How does that woman do it all? And how does she keep showing up on the weekends to sell her soap?"

Answer:  I don't. As of tomorrow, August 22, my husband Izzy will vend for me at the markets. He has done this ever since I started farmer's markets--when school starts, he vends on Saturdays, and I vend on Sundays. We have changed this up a bit for now, and Izzy will vend on both Saturday and Sunday.  I will make guest appearances, probably on Sundays.

So if you go to the market this weekend and see a handsome devil with long hair and a beard hanging out behind the soap table, that's Izzy. Say hello, and ask him if he's looking forward to the roasted chilis this fall. He makes a WICKED green chili with them.

Have fun tomorrow, then! I am still behind the scenes, getting my next book written, making solid lotion (Brooke!), and preparing SUGAR SCRUB (the sugar finally arrived!) for y'all. Tell Iz what a great job he's doing, and I'll see you at my next guest appearance. It won't be this weekend, though. :)
